Poo! This was the one thing I was dreading. But it hasn’t been too bad. This has mainly been because (thankfully) the Lady I had my puppy off had house trained her.
Puppy mats are now scattered around the house, and throughout the day and night little patches of yellow pee appear upon them, followed with not-so-frequent poops.
The poo has the most intense odour, and it really is pungent. While my puppy was on dry food, the poo was of a hard texture, but since switching the puppy to wet food (as she wasn’t enjoying/eating the dry food) the poo, as you’d expect, has become less solid.
Less solid poo has made things a little more difficult, as it’s not so easily containable and disposable. But, the poo is such a small challenge compared to all the positives a puppy has brought into my life. I have been told that after a eating it will take a puppy around thirty minutes to poo. I haven’t found this to be the case, but there is definitely a pattern attached to when she does eat and then poos. By looking at your puppy’s routine, you’ll be able to find his/her patterns quite quickly.
